This umbrella is really nice looking. I didnt want to pay several hundred dollars for a more permanent structure that can also get dmaged in winds so Im willing to take the trouble to make sure this one is not left up unattended. I just want to be able to sit out on the patio and have my morning coffee even on the hot days. Ive had it up all day long most of the time. Light winds blow it around slightly, but I bought a good weighted stand. Theres a plastice sleeve to secure the poles in place when getting it in to position that could break need to be careful with that and open and close it slowly. They even mention that in the instructions.
We love the umbrella but has little to no UV protection. Faded immediately.You can see the photo of the Hampton Bay umbrella that was purchased at the same time is still vibrant blue and zero fade. Photo was taken one year after purchase.Both were kept under same condition.
We now have three of these umbrellas, and are extremely pleased with the product, and the customer support provided by the seller/manufacturer. The umbrellas are large, high quality, and easy to operate. In a move, we managed to lose several small parts of one of the umbrellas (as a result of our packing, not any issue with the umbrella). I contacted the manufacturer and they responded in a matter of hours with a complete solution (to something that wasnt their problem). Highly recommend.
Perfect for over my hot tub in Pa. this umbrella does not disappoint! I put it together in 15 minutes. Super easy. I was nervous because of the price. This is just perfect t. I highly recommend!
I bought this to replace a similar umbrella that snapped in a a gust of wind. My old one lasted 5 years, so I felt I got my moneys use out of it. I was able to bolt the new umbrella to the same stand, screws were same, so very thankful for that! My only complaint with this new one is that it doesnt twist very well. There are slots in the pole to lock it in place, and once in there, you cant shift the umbrella side/to/side to block the sun. To do that you have to pull the umbrella out a little and rotate it. There is a plastic cap that the pole nubs rest on, that is never going to survive, but not sure I really need it. I cant remember if my old one had a cap or not? All/in/all, this is not a deal breaker, and if I can get another 5 years out of this one, it will be money well spent!

You get what you pay for
Ok for the price but dont expect anything aming and be sure to take it down in the slightest breeze.
