we got these for our home office space and use them every day for many hours a day. they look great and are very sturdy. im a chair leaner and at first i thought they might break but they are quite durable. i would say they are less comfortable to sit in for 8 hours a day than a legit office chair, but for general sitting purposes they are great. would recommend.
These are very pretty, comfortable chairs and were very easy to assemble. The seat is a soft velvet pile. They are great side chairs and work for many uses.
Couldnt find a reasonably priced office chair, so i went with these. They match the area rug perfectly. My kids are able to sit in them during the school day with no complaints. Very comfortable. Simple assembly. Seem quite sturdy.
Pros:
I would definitely recommend this chair to anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable chair. The material is nice, the chair is well padded, and its wide enough to suit a variety of body types.
Cons:
The assembly process was straightforward, but this is not the sturdiest item. The chair isnt balanced and feels a bit flimsy. I made a shim to correct the balance, but, based on other reviews, this is a common issue with this chair.
Overall: if quality isnt concern 1, then I recommend this chair.
We bought this chair to replace a more sculpted Humanscale desk chair. The advantage of this chair is that it has a completely flat bottom cushion which may be more comfortable for some people when sitting for longer periods of time.
The chair has a walnut-colored veneer which has a high quality appearance even though the base is ply. I recommend taking care not to bang the chair into hard surfaces or it will likely dent/chip the veneer.
The fabric seat, back, and sides are light gray fabric with a good texture. The legs are metal with a -like finish and screw into the bottom of the seat with three screws each. The legs have plastic tips to prevent scratching the floor but I added a half-inch diameter furniture pad to each leg so that it slides easily on our hard floors.
Overall, the chair looks much more expensive than it is and fits the mid-century style perfectly.
ASSEMBLY NOTE: Some reviewers have complained that their chair rocked back and forth on the floor after assembly. It is important to note that there are two different size legs for the front and back --they are clearly marked on the base to show you where each is to be positioned. The legs look identical but they are not (they have different lengths/angles). My chair sits perfectly flat on the floor without any wobble and so I suspect that wobbly chairs were not assembled with the legs in the right position.
