It came with a missing slate bar for the bed but it wasnt a big deal for us. Easy to assemble / 4 stars for a missing piece. Definitely much more sturdy if you anchor this to the wall but for my 5 year old it holds up just fine! I agree that the ladder is definitely painful but it doesnt seem to bother my kids! Good,
