I purchased many easy to assemble pieces of furniture over the years, from both low end retail outlets as well as high end office furniture suppliers, and rarely are the as advertised. Because of this, I was a little weary about ordering this item because even from the best companies, there are almost always issues with damage during shipment, missing parts, poorly cut pieces, misaligned screw holes or impossible directions.
I decided to take the risk because I have been looking locally for the correct size cabinet to fit in my bathroom with now luck and also, has really made returning items painless and easy in the last couple of years, when there are issues.
I must say, I was so pleasantly surprised with the quality of this cabinet for the price. It arrived in perfect condition, mostly due to the exceptional packing. It was sent in the original manufactures carton that was heavy and well fitted. It had ample packing material inside with added inner protection between all the pieces, so nothing shifted which is usually the cause of shipping damage. I did not find a single flaw in the finish, corners or edges of any of the parts.
Once I pulled out all the piece, I noticed all the pieces were clearly marked with removable stickers so identifying which part was which was a breeze. This was also done for the hardware, so there was no need to try to guess which screw went were.
The directions were clear and logical. The way it was designed, it was easy to handle without an extra set of hands to hold parts, or reach inaccessible places to tighten hardware.
This piece went together perfectly 1st try in about 30 minutes. There were no issues assembling it and once assembled, there were no gaps or wiggly parts, You would never guess it was a do it yourself, easy to assemble piece of furniture. Even the knobs were heavy metal (not plastic) and looked to be a good quality.
The only thing that I could say, that is not 5 star about this cabinet is that the paint finish, although flawless and beautiful, looks a bit thin so Im not sure how well it will hold up over time, with frequent washings. This is also true of the high end furniture Ive looked at though so I didnt take points away for that.
All in all, this little cabinet was very reasonably priced and exceeded all my expectations. I am definitely going to look at more of this line to finish my bathroom remodel.
