First off, you will need a hand drill with a phillips head screw driver attachment and a hammer. I did have to move some of the screws because the alignment was off. This was at the end when I was securing everything down. That is it! I built it by myself while I was home with a cold with my husband in the other room.he was sick too.lol. If I figured it out with a stuffy head I am sure everyone else can build it too. Its great! and not as big as we pictured. We can store it behind the couch or up against a wall. It is sturdy and we are not small folks. BUY IT ALREADY! I am super picky and I am really happy with it.
