It does say not to assemble alone, however I did it just fine. I assembled it step by step and it turned out beautifully. It did take me roughly 2 hours, but I took my time. If my husband would have been there Id say we would had it assembled in less than 45 minutes. It aligns fine, despite some reviews stating otherwise. It is important not to tighten the screws until all parts are nicely aligned. It has plenty of storage and the color is pretty accurate.
