This chair will arrive in a large square box. Inside, the entire upper portion is one piece and the legs are separate.
Putting the chair together is as simple as inserting all four legs and tightening down two hex bolts per leg. In total, this is a 6-8 minute process.
I found the chair to be very stable to sit on. It doesnt feel underbuilt or made cheaply.
Theres an initial slight odor to the chair that fades within 30-40 minutes.
The material used is not soft to the touch and can be considered a bit rough, but not uncomfortably so. Due to the vintage/antique look, this can come off as a bit cheesy or tacky, but I quite like it and feel it has character.
With regard to cushioning, this is much like a firm, supportive feeling chair. Its most definitely not a chair youre going to sink into and feel like youre sitting on a cloud. I prefer firmer, supportive chairs so I like that. Keep this in mind when making your decision.
Overall, I think for what this chair is, its very nice. Id prefer the material was just a little nicer to the touch, but I realize its more apart of the look as much as it is due to budget. Its firm, but comfortable. Its certainly not perfect but its a very solid value, for what you get. I recommend this for anyone that loves a more vintage or antique looking chair with a bit of character.
