After unpacking this ottoman, I tightened all the hinge screws and found that a few of them were not very tight. The four stubby legs were packed separately (in the same box), and were very easy to screw on. The material would look more like real if it werent quite so shiny. But, it looks okay. Plus, the is thinner than real . It makes we wonder how long it will be before it tears or gets a hole poked in it. Time will tell. When opened all the way, the lid stays open until you close it. The top is padded and makes a good seat ! Max weight when used as a seat is 200 pounds. I have mentioned three or four negatives things about this ottoman. But overallit looks pretty decent and it has a lot of room inside to hide my clutter!
