I have an antique bed frame that I love but didn’t want it to support my mattress. I’ve got two kids and two large dogs that like to be on my bed. Plus yours truly. All in all it’s a lot of weight...roughly 420 lbs without the mattress weight. So I needed a slat system, extra legs to support my memory foam mattress, and a certain height to match up with the antique frame.
This works perfectly. There are 9 legs on the full size. The slats seemed questionable when I first opened the box but they’ve been very sturdy. I think the flexibility and lightweight nature of the slats makes them seem flimsy when they’re not. And it holds my bed up unnoticed while my antique outer frame shines!
No building either! Unfold the frame, screw in the legs, and you’re done!
