Although some other reviewers seemed to have trouble assembling this bench, maybe theyve made improvements since then. Piece of cake. All you need is a screwdriver and the directions which were good enough. This is a solid piece. It looks exactly like the picture. The lid works nicely. Plenty roomy for shoes which is why I bought it // to fit in a hallway near two entrances for shoes/boots. No problems, No complaints! I like it!
