I had a 12 inch mattress on this day bed. I didnt like that at all! You could not see the back of the day bed, which is the only thing that helps make this day bed look like a couch, which is what I was going for. Im trying to make this look more like a couch. So, I put a 6 inch mattress on it from Zinus. Looks much better! One more tip thats not really related to this product. if you ever order a memory foam mattress, NEVER EVER unzip the cover. Its full of fiberglass. I just did some research on that. OMG. It destroys lives. Anyways, back to this product.
