It was a little difficult to assemble but absolutely love it. It is much sturdier than I expected too! The maximum mattress height for the trundle is 6. I bought an 8 thinking it would work and it does work. However its very difficult to pull out and push back in. But that is my fault. Overall a great purchase. Like it a lot
