We liked it so much we purchased it in the full when we were ready to size up. It is a well made sturdy bed that doesnt squeak. It does require the use of a foundation. We used a bunkie board when our daughter was very small and it worked well. The white is true white and more glossy but not a high gloss. The pink is a soft cool tone with matte finish. Do the work.
