The bed is an good bed its sturdyish . A screw had came out but the bed still stands its not difficult to assemble. Its a good bed but I wouldnt jump on it or rough house .the mattress is to be held up by wooden slats and Velcro ( that should answer the durability questions) but overall its okay for sleeping
