I purchased this bed for my 12 year old son and he loves it. However, the bed made a creeking sound everytime he turned at night and I could hear it from two rooms away. My husbad added some roofing material (poly separation sheet 16 oz or any polyester fabric will work) to cushen the metal screw against the metal frame and this helped but not with all the screws. The screeches were too loud and woke up my son and a few members of our family every time. I called the manufacturer and about the problem and was great they exchanged the bed for another one without charging me any additional costs. The first bed was picked up when the second one was dropped off. My husband says the bed was easy to assemble (hes a roofer) but it would have been difficult for me. With the second bed he also applied the same roofing material and the noise is minimal. Otherwise, the bed is sturdy, I love that the desk is below the bed and saves lots of space in a small room he shares with his sister. Overall, Im pleased with the purchase, but I did none of the labor. Im super pleased with the great customer service from -- at least half of my purchases are made online and more than ever I will shop at
