I bought this item used. I opened the box to find this tiny block. I was shocked; it looked like a foot stool. I looked deeper into the box and there was the outside cover and I realized this foot stool was actually very compressed shredded memory foam. It says it takes 4-5 days for the foam to expand all the way. This was a gift for my hard-to-buy-for son, so I put the foam into the cover and broke it all up. I then stuffed this enormous sack into my closet and waited. After a few days, this bean bag got the nickname Monstrosity. It is now very clear that it is not a foot stool. It grew. A lot. I even had trouble maneuvering it to get it out of the closet. I am very happy with this purchase, even being used. There were no signs whatsoever of it being anything less than new, aside from the price.
