I was going to build a small conference table for my office but for 160 I decided to buy this one instead. Was glad I did. The table top is made of fine grained hardwood (not veneer as many are) with a matching base. It came in 2 packages. Assembly took about 1 hour, at least a half hour of which was spent removing the staples securing the legs to the bottom of the table. I guess they didnt want them to come loose during shipping. Other than that the rest was easy. The table has a matte finish, uniform color, and fine, tight wood grain. It is definitely not made of oak but resembles maple or rubber wood. It is fairly substantial and very sturdy. I would recommend it if you want a decent table at a fair price, and dont expect it to be real oak.
A solid table, good value
