The legs should angle out ;)

This is actually easy to put together, but I did manage to screw it up royally at several points, resulting in having to redo the legs on the chair no less than 5 times. Shame on me. I feel the instructions were a tad unclear as to the positioning of the legs, but it was pretty obvious they were installed backward the first time I sat in the chair, before finally finally taking them off and reinstalling them for the fifth and last time. Full disclosure: I have weak, arthritic hands, so if I can assemble this, you probably can too. I do like this chair, I find it nicely comfortable. But I would warn other cat owners to consider carefully before buying this chair. Ive only had it set up for a few days and already seeing pulls from little claws, the fabric is clearly prone to this. Its not made clear how to adjust the back, apparently you have to push it all the way forward, then slowly pull it back and hope that it starts clicking until you find the spot you want it in and somehow magically locks. Its working for me by sheer luck only. The ottoman storage has a spring-loaded cover which only stayed shut with the weight of the cushion on top, what is up with that? Its overall a nice little chair, and since only the back moves, I dont have to worry about crushing cats under a traditional recliner. Just wish the little darlings were declawed.
