Yes, I am grading on a curve

If youre like me, chances are youre not in the market for a hand/carved Shaker ottoman anytime soon. Still, I need to put that out there. The good Putting it together was a snap compared with IKEA anything. Having looked extensively online and locally (including IKEA), I couldnt find anything that beat it at 220. (IKEA has one love seat that I preferred, but I couldnt fit it into the car, and paying to transport the thing would have put it over the top). It looks fine. Not like Im living in Buckingham Place fer shur here, lol, but itll do. That bad Its not the most comfortable thing to sit on. Its okay. I cant really imagine anyone sleeping on this, really sleeping in the true sense of the word. I mean, OK if your buddy is crashing the night after Ozzfest, he wont likely know the difference lol. This wasnt a huge factor in my decision, nor was it too much of a surprise. Its better than an air mattress (at least in terms of ambiance ). If you really want to use this as a sleeper, you should pick up a 1 or 2/inch memory foam topper. OK, a lot of furniture in my range has issues with chemical smells. Were not talking city morgue here, but I felt like I was copping a little buzz when I was slid under the thing tightening the screws to the arms rest. Ive been airing it out, again, and the smell has dissipated, but I mention it because some people are very sensitive to this sort of thing. Conclusion Not a bad deal. If youre planning on sticking where you are for some amount of time, Id recommend setting down a little extra cash if its within your means. At the 400/500 range, you can probably do better (particularly if youre not averse to gently worn items). That being said, at its current price (220), I dont think youre going to do any better, particularly considering free delivery. LOVE LOVE LOVE
