The product was shipped quickly. It arrived in 3 large well padded boxes and was pretty easy to put together. The quality was better than I was expecting and it looks great. The downside is that it has a strong chemical smell. I let it off gas for about a week with no improvement in the smell. I wiped it down with Pine-Sol with no improvement. I then heated up the room for another week to hopefully speed up the off gassing process, however it still has a strong chemical smell. I don't like to spend more than 5 minutes in the room and there is no way I would let my kid sleep in it. I am sure that eventually the smell will go away, but after 14 days it is still strong. I am not the typical person that you would expect to write this review, just a normal Dad. I tried to contact Acme customer service but apparently they don't have one, just a spare parts department.
Update. It has been 6 weeks now and the smell is about 90% gone. Luckily I am not on a time frame and I am not in a rush to move my kid into his new room. I wouldn't buy this bed unless you can air is out for an extended period of time.
