The bunk set requires assembly, but the instructions are easy to follow. My husband and I put it together. The entire assembly takes 6 - 8 hours. Everthing is solid pine, except a few panels on the inside of the shelves. We are very satisfied with the set. received with good condition... thanks seller... good job
