Whew, where to even start. First up, the surfaces were all scratched and dinged and its obviously made of a cheap wood with a plastic-y coating.
Second, the holes were not drilled deep enough or at the correct angle, making tightening the hex screws with the 50-cent hex key a complete nightmare. The thing actually started bending from how much force was required to get the screws in. We had to switch it out for one we bought at the dollar store which was still higher quality...but, its a dollar store hex key. Shouldnt be too hard to beat the quality of that or just make sure the holes have the right depth, but I digress.
Even after all that and making sure everything was in as far as possible, the shelf still has a definite wobble.
We have a couple shelves from (I know, but poor student budgets) and which were half the price and better quality.
I dont know what kind of product everyone else got or if ours was just defective, but Id save your money on this one.
