This is a nice sturdy shelf, however, the color is not espresso as described. It has a reddish tone to it so it looks more like a dark cherry wood. A little disappointed in the color but overall its a very nice shelf. I have it in my hall closet so I guess its ok because you really cant really see the red undertone. However, for the price I paid for it, I really wish the color is what I want.
