Its ok but smaller than expected.I received an obvious repack. The back of the headboard has tears, and there is stain on the side. I made the mistake of spraying it with a stain remover, and now I still have the black stain,s surrounded by a discoloration. My night table will hide the stains
The front of the headboard, the footboard, and the rails were clean.
One set of slats were loose and the other tied. The wood is frayed and full of splinters. I got one in my finger before I realized what was going on. I Velcrod the left side of the slats first, and when I got to the right side I discovers that there was a gap of about a half inch. I also started at the top and then realize that the slats would not reach all the way to the middle. I am going to have to sand them down before I can install them properly.
TIP: When installing the slats start in the middle and then work you way to the headboard and the footboard, otherwise there will be too large a gap in the center of the frame.
I opted for a bed frame at this price point, and one that I needed to assemble myself. I am a 72 year old female who is doing this alone, so I think, unfortunately, I need to not be too picky. At the end of the day, this is not a bad looking bed frame. I dont have a mattress yet, and I am concerned about the splinters. Perhaps I need to lay down a tarp.
I did measure the interior since there were some complaints about the frame being too large. This frame appears to be correct.
If this were a 500 or 600 frame, it would get one star and it would go back. But at this price point, I will need to remain satisfied. If price is a priority then get this. The quality is acceptable, but certainly not excellent.
The instructions were clear and assembly not difficult.
