This bunk bed is sturdy enough for almost anyone and is a great value for the price. It comes in a REALLY heavy box. If you are hauling it up a flight of stairs it is easier to just open the box and carry up a few pieces at a time. Assembly is pretty straight forward, but is definitely time consuming. It took me around and hour to put it all together.
The parts are not the most heavy duty ones I have seen, but they are just heavy duty enough. I don't have any worries about it breaking or bending. The size is perfect for the stated sizes. Dragging a twin mattress to the top is a bit of a pain, but that is to be expected though. Once the mattress are in place the bed does not move around at all. It's very stable.
You can certainly find more heavy duty bunk beds, but not at this price. You are definitely getting your money's worth with this item.
