We purchased three of these desks all at once, for my homeschooled kids. No pieces were broken in any of the boxes. Instructions were great, parts of the desk and all hardware was well marked, making it easy to put these together. It took 30/60 minutes to put each together. My kids like the shelf to personalize their desks. The drawers line up properly (I saw others post pics of theirs not aligning). The cubby is great for them to store their curriculum. I would recommend.
