This is a great desk. It is a very dark version of espresso (as expected). The work space and desk height are good for use with a laptop or for writing. The reasons for four stars (deducting one): Assembly is time consuming (but not very difficult); drawers are very shallow (but very wide); and off-gassing from the laminate is not very pleasant with a room filling chemical odor.
