It came in 2 boxes and nicely packaged with all that I needed to assemble it. Pretty easy to assemble, you need 2 people. The bed is really beautiful and very sturdy. I bought the grey linen color which looks a bit taupe and it was the perfect color since I didnt want a true grey bed. The ease of the gas lift and storage is what makes this bed outstanding.
