I assembled this by myself in under three hours. Very well made. Directions are very clear and well written. You should not need to drill anything or anything like that. Just be mindful of the directions LOL. Anyway, thought it might be helpful to hear another perspective since so many were complaining about assembly I assemble furniture fairly often, and I found this to be one of the easier pieces I have ever assembled.
