The directions said two people are preferred but I did it by myself with no problems. The instructions are the usual one sentence/image type but these seem a little better than a lot of others. One cool thing - there are extra parts that are labeled extra parts. A lot of stuff comes with exactly what is needed to assemble, so if you lose one bolt or strip a screw youre in trouble. This has extras, labeled as extras so you dont have to wonder if you missed something. One small detail worth mentioning, the hex key sent with the kit kept working the whole time. I recently had assembled something else where the wrench provided was so cheap that it was almost round by the time I was done and pretty worthless.
