The wood is very soft and scratches and dents easily especially when your kids chew on the rails like mine did. :( Also, one of the screws was missing from the packaging. We were able to make due with what we had on hand, but it certainly was not up to expectations. The assembly was straight forward. My girls have been in these beds for about 6 months now and theyre holding up nicely. Over all, this set is not bad for the money, but definitely could be bette
