Well This bed is a good sturdy piece of furniture my daughter said the smell of the stain stunk but it just smelled like new furniture to me. It took 2 grown men at least 3 hrs to get them together but they did take about 3 or 4 cig breaks cause they cant smoke in the house. But Like I said its a nice piece of furniture and there was one happy little 4 yr old girl who stayed awake waiting so she could sleep on her new bunk bed. Just seeing her smile from ear to ear made it all worth it. I wish I couldve been there in the morning to see the look on her big brothers face when he seen the new bunk beds .Just make sure the holes are free of wood shaving and everything should go together smoothlyMy husband said there was only about 100 screws
