I managed to put the bed together by myself. I leaned one side against a chest of drawers and got little tables to support the back and bedrails level when I attached the other side. Unfortunately, though the slats had screw holes, the bed rails did not. I contacted the company and was informed I would have to make the holes. That does not seem correct. The directions had the illustrations but no written instructions. I had to download the instructions from (thank you, ). I did figure it out but there was no explanation for where the wood bolts were to be used. There are (I think) 12 slats which makes the mattress quite secure (except that the slats arent screwed in) which is a plus. Weight capacity is unclear to me since several different web sites gave different weight (anywhere from 250 pounds to 400 pounds). Because of the missing screw holes for the slats and the incomplete directions, Ive given the bed 4 stars. Nice bed, I do like it and am glad I got it.
