To install the plastic tab locks (8), use a large set of channel lock pliers (covered with cardboard and tape so you don't scratch the frame). If you use two people, you can do it very quickly. Have one person position the plastic tab locks, inserted on one side of the slot and hold it there for the second person to snap it into place with the pliers. You can do it as a one man operation, but it goes much quicker if you don't have to adjust the channel locks or fumble with the plastic tab locks since they frequently come out of the slots. My daughter suggested to do one whole side of the bed at a time. After I had struggled with the plastic tab locks for so long (by myself), we installed the last 10 together in about one minute. Another thing we did to help with the assembly was to install the legs (N) first. That made it obvious which were the lower and the upper cross bars.
