This was bought to make the most out of a small room. It is great with that. My son feels as if his room is much bigger than it is b/ c of the loft set up. My husband and son spent 1/2 the day putting it together. My husband is usually pretty quick with these things. He actually had to resort to reading the directions and even that didn't seem to speed up the process. Now that its together though we really like it.
