I ordered these chairs to replace some old dining chairs. I am giving them two stars because of their condition out of the box. At first the packaging seems adequate for shipping. They come in a pack of two and it appears that the manufacturer has made reasonable attempts to protect them in shipping. However all the legs of one chair had damage from rubbing against each other, and two of the legs of the other chair were damaged. This is due to how they were nested together for shipping. I had the espresso finish so the damage shows very clearly. The legs were wrapped in a shrink plastic wrap and I didn't see the damage until after assembling the chairs and finally removing the plastic. I would have taken some unboxing pictures but wasn't expecting this.
There were some inconsistencies in how the bolts were tightened on the legs as well. Some were loose and others were crazy tight. I had read the reviews and I was optimistic. The chairs wobble a bit because all four legs don't touch the floor until you sit on it, then they are stable. Overall they do seem sturdy. They are comfortable and would look very nice without the blemishes. It is more of pain for me to return them than to just go get a wood stain pen and color over the scratches, otherwise I would ship them back.
Beware of fair chair with damage here and there.
