Im always nervous to buy something online that would be such a challenge to return due to its size and weight. But I am so pleased I took the chance! The blue is a nice dark denim-like blue (think of a really really dark wash) with some texture. It took me about an hour to put together myself and I only needed the Allen wrench they provided. (They provided an additional tool - an Allen ratchet to tighten everything up. I neglected to see it until I was done and boy do I wish I had. It could have cut my assembly time in half. Make sure you locate it and use it.). It has good clearance underneath to slide things under they bed and once all the screws were tightened and the mattress put on, the bed feels solid. This is a great price for a nice, simple bedroom facelift.
