    Just Follow the Directions

Exceptional quality for the cost. With the two mattresses the whole setup will probably run $500. I'm not gonna lie. If you aren't experienced at assembling furniture this isn't a good beginner project. That being said, just follow the directions. Really. Like seriously. If you have an idea that you've figured out how it goes together and don't consult the booklet, you will be wrong, and pissed. Just follow it to the letter. I recommend paying close attention to the holes for the stairs (skip ahead in the directions) and attaching the long horizontal rails, bottoms first with the vertical posts erect, instead of on the bed's side as depicted in the booklet. My ceiling was entirely too low to flip once together. It's rock solid if you can tighten a bolt. I anticipate being able to breakdown and reassemble the unit as well, having taken care not to strip the bolts during assembly. One thing. The bed mechanism is a mother to operate at first with the mattress on top. Pull up on the back edge of the mattress while kneeling in the fold of the futon.
