A bit difficult to assemble without another adult!
The boxes arrived in a timely manner and since I was by myself, with my 12 year old daughter, I had to assemble it by myself (with her help). Its definitely a two person job! The parts were clearly labeled and instructions were easy to follow. The only complaint I have is that there were only 3 slabs of wood to go across the bottom to hold up a boxspring and they have small legs that attach in the middle of these boards~one of the legs was too long with the little leveler thing on the bottom of it, and didnt allow the ends of the board to touch the sides of the bedframe where they were supposed to be screwed down, so I removed the leveler thing (its like a small plastic base of a table leg) and then the board was able to be screwed in; however, I was aggravated to find out that the holes in the sides of the frame for two of the three slabs, didnt line up with the holes in the slabs! I had to push the sides in with my legs as I pulled the slab over the side with one hand, while trying to find the dang hole in the side! Anyway, it all got put together after expending quite a bit of energy doing this on my own! This is a MUST~ you will NEED a 5 boxspring, or larger one (depending on the depth of your mattress) because there will be that much of a gap between the mattress and the headboard otherwise! We went to buy a boxspring for $99 at a nearby store the next day and it fits perfectly now, with the mattress coming flush with the headboard! We bought a 12 memory foam mattress made by Sleep Innovations, that is wonderful!!
