Great loft bed value but air it out first!

Bought 2 for our kids bedroom (ages 11 14). Pkgd well but upon opening, strong paint smell permeated. For everyones health, you need to let air out in a garage or outdoors if good weather before assembling or, if after assembling, wait to sleep in them until it airs out. Took about 5/6 days for smell to completely dissipate. Easy to put together but need a 2nd person to hold up one end when attaching the other end. Pretty sturdy but it does wobble a bit when climbing getting in. As long as you dont exceed weight limit (which I thought would be more but was only 160lbs!), we are not concerned with the wobble. Its pretty tall so it was expected. Our kids fit their desks underneath along with some storage cubes. Good amt of space. I am 5ft need to duck my head when going underneath. After about a month, we started to see little cracks in the pinewood going against the grain so well see how long it holds up over time. But for now, it seems purely cosmetic; its not affecting the structures integrity. We figure once the weight limit has been exceeded, well chop the legs, take away the guardrails our kids can have nice platform beds. The lofts are nice looking and our kids love them. We have enough ceiling clearance as we have cathedral walls. Value for is good considering the wobble pressure cracks. We have thick mattresses (9) but there is still a safe 5 of clearance b/t the top of the mattress to the top of the guardrail. We did have to put a material covering the guardrail for our daughter as she tends to sleep with foot/leg dangling between them (not safe). Ill be happy if we get a few yrs out of these beds as lofts before our kids outgrow the weight limit. If you want a completely stable bed w/no movement, spend more on an oak or other hardwood bed. If your kids dont mind a little wobble dont mind being up pretty high (like a treehouse), then go for these beds. Just let them air out first!
