Really helps cushion against feeling the springs/metal tubing of my regular sofa bed . I put it right on top of my regular and bought a cushy topper and it is so/o/o much better / more like a real bed. It is made of microfiber so gets a bit too hot but that might be because the topper is also made of polyester / will need to try a cover with more cotton content to see if that helps.
