I was nervous to buy this after reading reviews about damage, but I was presently surprised with the packaging when mine arrived.
The desk is shipped in a large box with 2 inch styrofoam on both sides protecting the desk if the cardboard is punctured. Liners were protecting all the pieces, and there was no loose space for parts to move around. I’m not sure if the packaging was fixed after all the negative feedback, but it looks pretty great now. There wasn’t a single scratch or dent.
As for the desk, it’s absolutely beautiful. I tried it with 3 chairs and liked the white one best. You’ll probably want a chair that sits lower or one that has adjustable height because the desk sits lower due to the drawer depth. I’d also recommend a chair with low/no or adjustable arms - you can see that the black chair won’t push in all the way even though it’s lowered because of the arm height. The white chair that I chose has a seat height of 18” and that feels perfect for me (I can just barely cross my legs at that height)x I’d recommend a 16-17” chair height if you want to comfortably cross your legs.
Overall, I’m very happy with it and I’m now the proud owner of a beautiful desk!
