This bunk bed set exceeded expectations. I am so impressed with them. These bunk beds are solid and heavy. I absolutely had no issues assembling it. It took me about 2-1/2 hours. I AM very experienced assembling furniture and I can honestly say I like it! I think as long as you precisely follow the instructions and pay attention you will not have one single issue. Also I had some boards that I put under the mattress from their previous platform beds. I would suggest having something like that between the mattress and bars. It helps with making the beds. I have a 130lb kid and 60 lb kid that will be using them. But honestly I feel safe sleeping on them and I weigh waaaay more than them. lol.
