In the picture it looks like there is more room between the top and bottom bunk but its really tight which makes making the bottom bunk very hard. Also, the latter cant be moved to best fit the room so make sure it works with how you want to configure your room. It limited the places we can position it. They were also pretty time consuming to assemble and our full size mattress has room on either side. Its not a perfect fit and you can see the slats. I dont love them but its fine.
