We had to drill out all of the screw holes. They were too tight for the screws. The tools included with the bed were pathetic. We had to deal with lots of bowed pieces of wood as well. That being said, after we got it assembled it seems to be sturdy.
My daughter loves it but it's a pain to assemble.
