My 8 year old lies on the top bunk and it shifts in the direction the top bunk lies (left and right if you look from the front). The top bunk is banging up against my walls and I just worry about the structural integrity of the 3 pillars. I'm probably going to build some support for the corners so it won't shift the columns so much.
The other issue is it's a bit cumbersome to get to the bottom bed to change the sheets, but any bunk bed of this size would be an issue I'm sure.
It's a great setup for our room and the 3 boys love it. They hang from it, jump on and off it. It's a jungle gym.
