I needed a way to free up floor space. I had a twin mattress that needed to go above a queen size bed and this worked perfectly that that. The bed was easier to put together than Ikea products by far, took us about 2 hours. It would have been quicker if I had more space to work in but it went great. It does squeak some and the rungs are not comfortable to climb but my 8 year old son loves it up there.
