Seems like a pretty good deal for $180. Were about 2 weeks in. Had a third kid need a bigger bed, so we decided to bunk to save space since their room is small. The twin-over-full was cheaper than the twin-over-twin, which would have maybe been a bit more desirable. But we made this work. Since we already had two twins in the room, instead of assembling the full bed on the bottom, we left it out and slid in one of the twin bed frames underneath the top twin of this bunk bed. It fit, and we were able to buy a twin mattress for the top instead of a full for the bottom (saves a little $$$).
Assembly was fine except for the following things: One of the uprights did not align with a crossbar, so I had to use a drill to make one of the holes a little bigger. While putting in the plastic pegs that keep the twin slats in place, we snapped 2 of them. The allen wrench included ended up getting damaged at the short tip (it was like the bolt stripped the wrench) so it was unable to turn the bolts - I had to use my own set to finish the bed. Also, with the hundreds of pieces needed for the full that we werent using, I didnt go through and count to make sure they were all there. But it seemed like they included spares of all the little pieces, which was nice.
Ive had my wife and my oldest child climb into the top bunk with no issues. Its not as sturdy as some of those more expensive sets that are wooden or with storage stairs or something like that, but it gets the job done. We will hopefully be moving into a bigger house in the near future and will invest in one of those bunk beds later; this was just something to get us through the next 2-3 years without breaking the bank and I think it will do that.
So far so good.
