There is indeed assembly required. It is not hard. Requires just a bit of patience. I really like this product. Great value for the money. Am ordering another one.
Yes, this is a laptop/friendly stand. I tried a regular keyboard but no room for a mouse . although you could easily use a keyboard without the numeric keypad and it should work fine.
Have been standing while working since the early 2000s. Too much sitting makes me tired. This will get you standing, will not take up much room, and will leave a lot of money in your pocket from not having to buy a fullsized standup desk.
