I am almost 40 years old and have seen luggage come a long way since the '80s. I am super impressed with this luggage set! Five stars across the board- not a complaint nor critique can be made on this item and that is rare! I was a military child and moved all over the place airplane ride/road trip w/ suitcase travel after travel and have experienced all the troubles one can imagine with luggage. I have had this set barely a year have used it several times and each time I think to myself how grateful I am to finally have the perfect suitcase set! The female in me wants to first address that this is my absolute most favoriteest color and the benefit to that at the airport is I'm going to see my suitcase, before anybody else lol but the hard shell really is durable and the 360 wheels feel like they are gliding on air, they're amazing! The telescopic handle has a high and low fix point which is nice if you're short or tall, dragging or standing. The tall extension also works if you have a laptop bag you can slide that right through the handle and pull it all behind you through the airport with ease! I'm 5'2 so that is very important for a small person with a larger suitcase to be able to easily maneuver through a crowd that sometimes can't see the short people. While standing in line I had on top of the telescopic handle My laptop hanging through and a 20 lb box of fish (I took a trip to Alaska) I was able to get through the airport without straining myself. All the weight was on the suitcase and I was able to both push it and pull it behind me so easily. The inside has those adjustable clips to keep all your clothes in place which is pretty standard. The inside pocket has a zipper so nothing falls out which is nice and is also a mesh material so if you have anything in there you'd like to breathe, it can. I pack all my toiletries in Ziploc bags - again luggage horror travel stories, and I keep all that stuff in there so it's easy when I see what I want to pull out b/c I can see it through the mesh. The hard shell also does have a slight expansion within it which is nice when you need just a smidge more room lol I can put my shoes in here too, it all works out very nicely! If I'm just going to the mountains for a long wknd, I can use the medium size one. I haven't had to use the small one just yet but it's time will come, I'm sure of that! I like how they all collapse and sit inside one another, that is great for storage. It also has the short strap handle you can use to carry if they're light or empty. Again this is my new favorite luggage set! I see these lasting many years and that is valuable these days!!
